In Paris, there are dozens of luxury hotels. Anyway, the renowned Peninsula Group, known for amazing hotels in Asia, decided to start its European experience by opening a hotel right next to L’Arc de Triomphe. The five star hotel offers rooms with a decent size, a Spa, an indoor pool as well as a fully equipped gym and several restaurants. Do you need anything more for a luxury stay?
The Peninsula Group is a club of only ten hotels spread around the world. Most hotels are located in Asia, but there are also luxury retreats in New York, Chicago and Beverly Hills. Nowadays, there is a tenth Peninsula Hotel on a continent that has never seen a Peninsula Hotel before: The Peninsula Paris. On the website, the chain advertises its newest hotel by naming the retreat a trendsetter for luxury, design and comfort. Looking at the pictures, the words really make sense.
The Peninsula Paris offers luxurious rooms in an ideal location right next to L’arc de Triomphe in the 19th Arrondissement. Several other luxury hotels are located just across the street. The smallest room in the Peninsula Paris boosts a size of 35 square meters – everything but bad for a hotel in Paris. Deluxe Rooms offer 45 square meters to spread out, some suites do come with at least 100 square meters.
Guests may expect all the luxury they are used from other Peninsula Hotels in the world, starting from a seduced toilet, ending by slippers and a bathrobe in every room. The design is contemporary and stunning at the same time.
Not really surprisingly, the Peninsula Paris sticks to its roots. In the hotel there is a Cantonese Restaurant offering Asian delights either to Asian guests who want to enjoy a touch of home in the center or to local guests looking for high-quality food from another continent. As the Peninsula is a luxury hotel, the Cantonese restaurant named “LiLi” is not the only restaurant in the hotel.

On the rooftop, guests can enjoy not only a perfect view over Paris, but also French food. “L’Oiseau Blanc” is opened for lunch and dinner and may also be visited by external guests. Apart from that, the Peninsula got “The Lobby”, an international restaurant located on the ground floor and “The Kléber Terrace”. If you are looking for drinks, you may either decide for “The Kléber Bar” or enjoy a drink with a view in “L’Oiseau Blanc”. Guests of the hotel can also have any meal in the room.
As most of the newer luxury hotels in Paris, the Peninsula Hotel got an in-house SPA. The area is one of the hugest in Paris and offers incredible 1.800 square meters for pure relaxation. Guests may book a treatment or just enjoy themselves at poolside.
One of the highlights definitely is the floor-to-ceiling waterfall. In addition, guests of the SPA can chill out for some minutes or even hours on one of the loungers provided for comfort and relaxation – a perfect place to rest. For the more sportive guys, the Peninsula Paris got a state-of-the-art Fitness Center with several machines and barbells.
Reading about the Peninsula Paris and having a look at the photos, you may have expected that the Peninsula Hotel is one of the most expensive hotels in Paris. The newly opened retreat does not set a new standard in terms of prices though.
With rates starting from 700 euro a night, the Peninsula got average rates for ultra-luxurious five star hotels in Paris. Moreover, breakfast is at an additional cost of 40 euro per day and per person. Much money for a night in Paradise, but maybe worth for a day to remember forever.
