Hotel Preview: St. Barth Isle de France

Three awesome places, one name. “Cheval Blanc” is one of the most exclusive hotel chains in the world. To get an impression, we want to preview a beautiful resort in the Caribbean for you: St. Barth Isle de France, a luxury hotel on one of the most amazing and calm islands in the whole Caribbean. A place many people are dreaming of visiting someday.

Luxury hotels are not really comparable in many regards, especially when they are situated in the Caribbean. That’s why our latest hotel preview is kind of a premiere. With the St. Barth Isle de France, the newest member of the exclusive Cheval Blanc group, we’re getting in touch with the real first island resort in our hotel preview category. But believe me, it is worth to have a look at stunning pictures and awesome facilities!

Exclusive flair on a little island

Only 25 square kilometers, that’s the whole size of Saint-Barthélemy, better known as St. Barth. The island which has been a French colony some decades ago is known for its beautiful and unique beaches. Due to that, it really makes sense that the St. Barth Isle de France decided to build a luxury hotel on the island.

As for most hotels on this level, guests can expect pure enjoyment with different restaurants, bars and large rooms. Moreover, everybody who decides to make holidays at the new Cheval Blanc resort is able to enjoy private beaches in a perfect location.

Room with a perfect view at St. Barth Isle de France

Sadly, not all rooms at St. Barth Isle de France are facing the sea. The categories “Garden Room” and “Garden Bungalow” are having a lovely view into the green, but guests can not enjoy sea view in these rooms.

All rooms feature big outdoor areas, including terraces and balconies. The bathrooms are enlightened by natural light.

Beach Rooms offer perfect views on the sea

Every category starting from the Hillside Bungalow does offer some degree of sea view. The first normal room with front sea view is the so-called Beach Room. For guests who want bigger rooms are several suite types available.

The biggest suite at St. Barth Isle de France is located on the beach and has more than 400 square meters. A lot of space to enjoy luxury on a very high level.

French cuisine in the Caribbean

What makes a luxury hotel to a real holiday resort is sometimes just the food. At St. Barth Isle de France, the French cook Yann Vinsot indulges his guests with European and especially French cuisine. Food is either served in the all-day restaurant La Case de L’Isle or La Cabane de L’Isle, a more casual place located right beachfront.

The latter restaurant is just opened for lunch, but is worth a visit due to the amazing views anyway. La Cabane de L’Isle also serves drinks to guests who want to enjoy cocktails beachside. The other bar of the resort, the White Bar, located right at the pool, is the perfect choice for high-quality cocktails and every other kind of drink all day long.

Spa, beaches and time for experiences

To make a holiday perfect, guests of luxury hotels do sometimes need more than perfect rooms and high-quality food. At St. Barth Isle de France, guests may either enjoy themselves when lounging at one of the pristine beaches or get on the activity path. When arranging with the hotel, the concierge and his colleagues are able to make pretty much every wish come true. Guests searching for an experience may go windsurfing, diving or just enjoy an excursion.

The main focus, anyway, is time for rest. That’s why the hotel does have a Spa offering all kinds of treatments. Apart from that, guests may also work out in the Fitness Center or be sportive when swimming in the large outdoor pool.

1000 Dollar for a night with beach view

All of that sounds great? Definitely, but sadly, it also comes with a price. The rates at St. Barth Isle de France start at 500 Euro (650 US-Dollar) in low season. If you want to enjoy sea view, you have to pay at least 1.000 US-Dollar a night. In high season, the prices sometimes are double or triple of that. But anyway, the hotel is fully booked in advance for many dates in this season already. Who wants to enjoy the amazing resort has to be quick, rooms are only available on some dates till the hotels closes for a break on the 31st of August.
