Colombia is one of the booming countries in South America, for tourists and businessmen alike. Due to that, many hotels opened recently. One of the most luxurious ones in the capital of the country, Hotel Charleston Bogota, was refurnished lately and got a member of The Leading Hotels of the World in this process. The hotel offers European décor and contemporary design.
Bogota and Colombia are different from European countries in many regards. While in the capitals of Germany, France or Great Britain, big hotel chains with huge hotels dominate the market, Colombia and especially Bogota are known for little boutique hotels. Most luxury hotels located in Bogota do not have more than 100 rooms.
The Hotel Charleston Bogota with just 31 rooms and 33 suites is one of the smallest and yet extreme luxurious hotels in the city. While the size may differ from European standards, the style and the décor at the Hotel Charleston are pretty much orientated on European hotels.
That style makes the new member of The Leading Hotels of the World a good choice for European and American guests alike. The design is extremely modern and so does offer all the amenities and equipment guests may know from big chain hotels and one of a kind hotels in other parts of the world.
Even though the Hotel Charleston Bogota is a boutique hotel, the rooms also got a decent size. The Standard Room boosts 31 square meters, while the Deluxe Room comes with 38 square meters. Guests who want a suite may decide for a Junior Suite (57 square meters) or something even bigger like the Grand Suite (65 square meters).
The international character of the Hotel Charleston in Bogota is also a matter at the restaurant. At “La Biblioteca”, foreign and local guests alike are able to enjoy international cuisine since 1989. The restaurant is the only restaurant of the boutique hotel in the center of Bogota.
Due to that, guests may have breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner at the restaurant led by the chef Alberto Campos. The head of service, Claudia Jimenez, will do her best to make every guest feel comfortable, be it for a business meeting, an enjoyable lunch or a romantic dinner for two.
Centrally located in the heart of the old town of Bogota makes the Hotel Charleston a perfect hotel for tourism and business at the same time. The financial district is located just five minutes from the hotel, the most iconic and important touristic attractions are pretty close as well. For the convenience of the guests, an airport transfer in a limousine is included in many rates, so is breakfast. Also, there is a Turkish bath in the hotel, so guests can relax after a long day of working, shopping or sightseeing.
Anyway, luxury in the center of Bogota comes with a price. A night at the newly reopened hotel is priced around 200 Euro (~250 US-Dollar) for the lowest room category. With special rates, rooms are available for just 150 Euro (~200 US-Dollar) at some dates. For a big room, exclusive luxury, a perfect location in the heart of Bogota and a package including breakfast and an airport transfer, a good value for the money.
