Lounge Review: SAS Business Class Lounge Copenhagen
When we flew from Copenhagen to Geneva, we had the pleasure to visit the SAS Business Class Lounge at the Copenhagen Kastrup Airport. Modern architecture and Scandinavian design make spending some time there absolutely amazing. In addition, guests may use one of the iMacs provided or read one of many international newspapers. The only weakness: There was not really much food offered.
Arriving at the SAS Lounge in Copenhagen means getting separated. The reception staff checks your boarding pass and may let you enter either the normal “Business Class Lounge” or the “Gold Lounge”. As we flew business class, we were allowed to enter the former lounge.
After entering, we had a first look on the seating areas. The lounge is pretty large and very modern. That means that lounging, eating, reading and everything else is possible on different seating arrangements.
Moreover, there are some iMacs in a working area as well as free WiFi. Due to that, working at the SAS Business Class Lounge in Copenhagen is not any problematic.
The design of the lounge is beautiful and typical Scandinavian. Yet, I did not like the fact that there was not any privacy as the seating arrangements are mostly vis á vis with other seating areas.
Buffet at the SAS Business Class Lounge
Another thing I didn’t like was the food offered. We arrived at the lounge in the late morning hour and there was hardly any real dish you may want to eat at this very time.
We luckily had breakfast at the Hilton Copenhagen Airport before, but if you didn’t eat anything, you’ll starve more or less. When we spent some time in the lounge, there were only some apples and crisps offered.
Also, we were able to locate some cookies next to the coffee making facilities. Sadly, that was everything when it comes to food. The drinks offered were pretty okay with all soft drinks, good coffee and fresh water available.
Alcoholic drinks were limited because it was before noon.
Entertainment at the SAS Business Class Lounge
The SAS Business Class Lounge in Copenhagen is okay in every regard. The seating is comfortable, the design is stunning. Also, I like the fact that working in the lounge (either with an own laptop or with an iMac) is pretty easy. But apart from that, I was a little disappointed. Rarely any food you may grab when you are hungry, little privacy and hardly anything special.
The restrooms were not really modern, but well cleaned and the staff was friendly. We spent around 30 minutes at the lounge and we enjoyed our time, but if it is not for working or reading a newspaper, I would not recommend visiting the lounge eventually. It’s absolutely no paradise for food lovers.
