Lounge Review: Swiss Business Class Lounge Geneva

Flying business class with Swiss means having also the pleasure to visit the lounges provided by the airline. We went to the Swiss Business Class Lounge in Geneva and were really happy to get this opportunity as the lounge is spacious and very comfortable. The buffet is a little small, but absolutely sufficient. Newspapers and magazines are offered complimentary.

Not being a hub of a major carrier, the Geneva International Airport is an easy one to deal with. Due to that, we had no problems finding the Swiss Business Class Lounge located on the first floor – always a good start for a lounge review. The lounge is located airside which means that you have to pass security before entering the lounge. That makes visiting the lounge way more comfortable as you may just leave the lounge five minutes prior boarding of your plane.
Seating in the Swiss Business Class Lounge
When entering the Swiss Lounge at Geneva Airport, we were surprised about the size. Even though Swiss offers flights to several destinations from Geneva, the airport is way smaller than the main hub in Zurich.
Due to that, we expected a smaller lounge. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed having that much space to spread out. There were different areas, including large areas with leather armchairs that were really comfortable.
Another positive fact: All chairs are equipped with plugs and other sockets, so you can work with your mobile devices or just charge them.
Also, there are areas dedicated to working with several computers that may also be used free of charge.
Buffet in the Swiss Business Class Lounge
Star Alliance carriers usually don’t offer a huge choice of food in their lounges.
The Swiss Business Class Lounge in Geneva does neither. Anyway, we enjoyed having a small breakfast. The choice was not really big, but everything you may need for a good start into the day.
There are rolls, croissants and different jams available. Also, guests may choose a healthy breakfast with fruits and yogurt. Last but not least, there are also cereals and milk.
In my opinion, a very decent breakfast for a lounge, especially considering that the quality of everything was really good. Drinks of all kinds (even hard liquor) were available as well.
Entertainment at the Swiss Business Class Lounge
The Swiss Lounge in Geneva does not offer any special amenities like a spa or anything alike. You won’t feel bored in the lounge anyway as there is a huge choice of different national and international newspapers and magazines available.
Also, televisions keep you up to date about what is happening in the world. Last but not least, the good internet connection is worth a mention. All in all, a very good lounge. Especially the good seating and the nice breakfast satisfied us.
If you got a flight departing from Geneva Airport, you should definitely use your frequent flyer card, your Priority Pass or business class ticket to enter the Swiss Lounge – it’s worth it!
Curious what the world of lounges has to offer in comparison?
