Hotel Preview: Amilla Fushi
There are only few hotels on this planet that take your breath away when presenting you the lowest room category. Unquestionably, the Amilla Fushi is one of those. Every suite of the hotel has a private pool and much more to offer. Anything more? The privately located resort on the Baa Atoll in the Maldives offers incredible views, clear water and great food!
The Amilla Fushi is one of the newest luxury resorts in the Maldives. Being located in the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, the Amilla Fushi is outstanding because of its location alone. But that is by far not everything that makes the resort a very special place.
While resorts in the Maldives usually have amazing suites and large rooms, the Amilla Fushi has more than just this. Every single room has at least 200 square meters and a private pool.
Suites to never leave again
There is a reason why all reviews on Tripadvisor so far have been very positive about the Amilla Fushi. With every single suite being that amazing that you’ll never want to leave again, the newest luxury hotel in the Maldives made itself an absolutely incredible hideaway.
Even the smallest room category, called Lagoon House, offers a private pool, direct ocean access and a size of 200 square meters.
There are other suites with much more space and even more exclusive features like private gardens and lap-sized private pools, but as the Lagoon House already being that amazing, there’s no need to focus on the even more stunning “houses”.
All rooms include super king sized beds, outdoor bathrooms and a state-of-the art entertainment system. It may also be worth a mention that stunning views and a fresh water pool complement the experience at a Lagoon House.
Food to dream yourself away
Guests of the Amilla Fushi may book a room on breakfast, half board or full board basis. To book the latter may be a great idea as the chef Luke Mangan is renowned for his creations. At the Amilla Fushi, there are different spots to grab a bite.
The “Lonu by Luke Mangan” offers an ultimate dining experience and amazing creations with just the best ingredients that are available on the market. At the “Wine Cellar”, guests of the Amilla Fushi can enjoy a wine tasting and at “The Emperor”, hotels guests may spend the afternoon having a great piece of cake or a perfect freshly brewed coffee.
It’s important to not forget about the “Bazaar”, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant that also offers signature cocktails and much more during all times of the day. Last but not least, the so-called “Destination Dining” is worth a mention. For a really special experience, guests may decide to enjoy a set menu with private butler service at special spots on the islands, for example the beach.
Treatments to strengthen the soul
There are hotels that need large swimming pools in a Spa are and there is the Amilla Fushi. With private pools in every villa, things like a pool are not of much importance for hotel guests.
Yet, guests may enjoy a swim in one of the largest pools in the Maldives or lounge at one or another spot on the private beach even though it is tough to leave the private villa. Moreover, there is another reason why it is worth spending some time outside the villa as every booking comes with a complimentary 50 minutes treatment each and every day of a guest’s stay.
The choice of amazing massages, facials and other treatments is huge and the quality of every treatment shouldn’t be anything but perfect.
Prices to lose your mind
The Amilla Fushi sounds absolutely amazing to you? Completely understandable! Sadly, the luxury resort is way too expensive for pretty much everyone living on this planet. Depending on the season, the luxury hotel charges between 1500 US-Dollar (~ 1385 Euro) and 2500 US-Dollar (~ 2300 Euro) a night for the Lagoon House excluding taxes and services.
Half Board and Full Board are at an extra charge of 200 US-Dollar (~185 Euro) to 400 US-Dollar (~ 370 Euro) depending on the season. Moreover, a private transfer is needed to get to the island from the International Airport of Malé. This one is charged an extra 550 US-Dollar (~ 500 Euro) per person. Incredible prices for an incredible resort. The Amilla Fushi is an outstanding new luxury hotel in many regards.
