Hotel Preview: The Miami Beach Edition
As many hotel chains, Marriott tries new things at times. One of these is “Edition Hotels”, the newest brand of Marriott. The latest hotel of the collection just opened in Miami Beach. The Miami Beach Edition will unquestionably set new standards when it comes to a luxurious vacation in Florida. Ultra luxurious and modern rooms and stylish public areas – this is The Miami Beach Edition!
It’s tough to describe the luxurious The Miami Beach Edition. Judging from the pictures, everything at the hotel looks absolutely amazing. Modern and spacious rooms, direct beach access and a lovely pool with a private garden.
I may also lose a word about the food that is offered at the hotel by the renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his colleagues.
Modern rooms with amazing views
There are many reasons for The Miami Beach Edition being an absolute must visit.
One of these are unquestionably the rooms. Even the Standard King Room offers 35 to 52 square meters (385 to 560 square feet), marble bathrooms and all the amenities luxurious travelers are looking for.
Yet, these rooms don’t have sea view, so that may be a little compromise when staying at such an amazing location. However, all other rooms at The Miami Beach Edition offer one of a kind views on either Miami or the Beach.
Some rooms like the Oceanfront Balcony King Room offer balconies with a view of the Atlantic Ocean.
So do all suites and bungalows of the hotel which has 294 luxurious and individually designed rooms including the suites and bungalows.
Latin cuisine presented by Vongerichten
It’s not really tough to find a nice place for a good dinner in Miami Beach, but with the opening of The Miami Beach Edition, there is yet another great restaurant that is worth a visit. The signature restaurant of the hotel, called Matador Room, is led by the renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
With a modern interpretation of the Latin cuisine, the chef fits perfectly into Miami Beach, making the Matador Room a must-visit for lovers of great food. Yet, the Matador Room is not everything The Miami Beach Edition has to offer. At the Matador Bar, guests can sip a drink in the evening. The Market at Edition invites guest for a great coffee or a little snack in the afternoon.
At Tropicale that is located poolside, guests can enjoy food service till sundown and are treated like gods with amazing drinks. Last but not least, the Lobby Bar is worth a mention as also visitors are invited to sip a signature cocktail in the 1950s inspired bar.
Private atmosphere at The Miami Beach Edition
When there is something else than food and luxurious hotels tourists are coming to Miami, it definitely is the beach. At The Miami Beach Edition, guests enjoy private access to an amazing beach with chairs, umbrellas and towel service.
Yet, this area may not be private enough for many guests. Due to that, The Miami Beach Edition decided to also open a large pool that’s big enough for laps. Around the pool, there are several loungers inviting for sunbathing or just relaxing.
A very special feature is the so-called Sandbox, a secluded area next to the pool that’s so private that sipping a cocktail makes guests forget that they are staying in a metropolis. And don’t forget. In all areas, the staff is to your full assistance for food or drink orders.
