Do you like fairytales? Then you’ll love The Castle Hotel Dalian. Located right at the sea, offering amazing views, the castle is stunning from the outside as well as in the inside. For everyone who ever wanted to stay in a dream castle does have the chance to do so now. The member of the Luxury Collection offers luxury in all regards.
Beautiful nature, a historic setting and a good location close to all major sights of Dalian. The Castle Hotel Dalian is one of few hotels which opened in the last years that may be a real must for each and every traveler on this world.
That’s especially the case for everyone who always wanted to be part of a fairytale. Even though The Castle Hotel Dalian looks a little overdone, it’s one of those hotels you’ll never forget again.
When writing a hotel preview, the focus usually is on the rooms. However, at The Castle Hotel Dalian there are more important things. That’s underlinded by the fact that the hotel does rarely have any pictures of its large and spacious rooms on its website.
However, each and every room is pure opulence and luxury at the same time. Even the lowest room category called Deluxe Room offers 50 to 60 square meters (538 to 646 square feet) of space and marble bathrooms with a detached rain shower and a large bathtub. Even though the Deluxe Room already sounds amazing, it may be worth booking a Grand Room or one of the many suites of the hotel as all of those offer amazing views of the mountains or the sea.
If you really want to feel like a prince or a princess at The Castle Hotel Dalian, you may also opt for the Presidential Suite with incredible 620 square meters (6.674 square feet).
Not very surprisingly, the Castle Hotel Dalian offers its guest a huge choice of different dining outlets to indulge. The “Royal Cellar” follows a European, in fact a German, approach offering freshly brewed beer (they even got a brewery!) and German specialties.
If you are looking for a more local experience, “Zhen Bao” is the right choice. The Chinese restaurant of The Castle Hotel Dalian is open for lunch and dinner. International cuisine is offered at “Collections” where parties of two or more can also enjoy private dining.
Last but not least, it’s worth a mention that there a two lounges that invite for a great afternoon tea or a cocktail: The opulent Lobby Lounge or the stylish “Aristocrat” lounge that reminds guests of the European Grandezza.
The Castle Hotel Dalian is a very special hotel. Due to that, also the pool and the Spa have to be unique.
With 450 square meters that is offering brilliant views of the ocean and lush green around (it’s an indoor pool!), the pool of The Castle Hotel Dalian definitely is special. For guests that are looking for a massage there is a wide range of treatments available at the Kaiser SPA.
A more sporty approach may be followed in the huge gym that is also offering brilliant views. Combined with the great lap pool, even the sportiest guys will feel great at the Castle Hotel Dalian.
China is one of the cheaper countries when it comes to luxury hotels. However, The Castle Hotel Dalian is a little expensive. Rates are starting at 1.200 CNY (~175 Euro / ~195 US-Dollar) excluding taxes and services.
Higher room categories as well as breakfast come with an extra charge. Compared to other hotels in Dalian, the prices of The Castle Hotel Dalian are very high. However, who wouldn’t be fine with paying a little more to spend a night at the dream castle?

Wow, this looks amazing! Great photos. Thanks!
Wow!!! they have imitated the german castle quite beautifully!! and the inside!!! indeed its opulent, but i still love it!! I mean if it was old then people would say its “historic” instead of opulent right 😉
Seems like a great place to spend a relaxed few days enjoying view and food and some massage! aah.. good place for our bucket list for sometime in the future in China! 🙂
Absolutely. Especially for me as a German, it was surprising to see that castle in China. It’s on my bucket list as well (togehter with several other hotels and cities in China) 😀

I thought I would add this here, as it gives an interesting insight into the sort of places in China that I can’t afford to stay in.
