Hotel Review: Hilton Warsaw Convention Center
Hilton Warsaw Convention Center was our choice for a short overnight stay in Warsaw before departing to our latest journey to the USA. Even though we did not spend much time at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center, we really liked the hotel. Spacious and modern rooms, courteous staff, good food and a nice in-house fitness center. The only downer at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center is the location.
Poland’s capital Warsaw has many five star hotels and especially on weekends, they are very affordable. Due to that, making the right choice is anything but easy.
- Classification: Five Star
- Room Category: Executive Room
- Month of Stay: March
In our opinion, you can’t go wrong with Hilton Warsaw Convention Center. The hotel is mainly a business hotel as it is located right in the most important business district of Warsaw.
However, Hilton Warsaw Convention Center is well connected to other parts of the city by bus, tram and – in the future – as well with the subway. Even by foot, it doesn’t take very long to the city center and the old town.
Great views at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center
Our stay started with a very good experience.
Even though arriving in the late morning, we were assigned to our room without any issues. We were lucky enough to even get a corner room on one of the top floors, so we were able to enjoy great views of the city.
Warsaw isn’t extremely impressive from above, but as our Executive Room at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center offered everything we were looking for, this didn’t bother us much.
The Executive Room at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center has large floor-to-ceiling windows, a large and comfortable King Bed as well as a working desk and a little seating corner.
The bathroom is pretty basic with no detached toilet and just one sink. Overall, the room had a tasteful design and was quite modern.
Even though the Executive Room at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center isn’t extremely spacious, it is absolutely sufficient.
Sports at Holmes Place Warsaw
Hilton Warsaw Convention Center offers its guest access to the in-house fitness center Holmes Place Warsaw. Hotel guests enjoy complimentary access to all facilities. These include a large gym with dozens of cardio and strength machines as well as many free weights.
As we are talking of a public gym, it can get busy in the evening, but as Holmes Place Warsaw is quite large, that’s no real problem. For recreation and enjoyment, guests of Hilton Warsaw Convention Center may also use the swimming pool which is large enough for labs, the large whirlpool as well as the sauna and steam bath.
Even though the Spa area is not really cozy and very busy in the evening, the facilities are great. Overall, we liked the idea of the large in-house fitness center at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center.
Testing the lounge of Hilton Warsaw Convention Center
As we stayed in an Executive Room, we were granted lounge access at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center.
This means enjoying snacks all-day long as well as a special selection for breakfast and dinner.
Alcohol and soft drinks are also available from early in the morning till late in the evening. The food that which has been offered in the evening was nicely presented and didn’t taste bad either.
You shouldn’t expect restaurant quality, but what we tried was very satisfying. Seating in the Executive Lounge of Hilton Warsaw Convention Center is also very nice, so opting for an Executive Room may be something you should consider.
Talking of good food, the kind little breakfast box we got when checking out early was a very nice touch. As we left the hotel at 4 am, we were not able to enjoy the breakfast buffet.
However, the box with hand-made sandwiches, fruits and more was absolutely sufficient for our needs at this time of the day.
Incredible value for the money on weekend
I have to admit that I was flashed by the value of the money at Hilton Warsaw Convention Center.
This is especially true on weekends where the rates for Hilton Warsaw Convention Center can be as low as 50 Euro (~ 55 US-Dollar) a night. Even for the double rate which is normal for weekdays, you won’t regret booking Hilton Warsaw Convention Center.
Nice rooms, great and friendly service as well as the good food make Hilton Warsaw Convention Center one of the best Hilton hotels we stayed at so far. In Poland, Hilton does offer a real five star experience. At Hilton Warsaw Convention Center, you’ll feel that every minute you stay at the hotel!
