Hotel Preview: The Gainsborough Bath
The Gainsborough Bath is opening on July 1st, but the media are going crazy about the new hotel 90 minutes away by car from London. Located in beautiful Bath, The Gainsborough offers modern rooms and a large Spa area for pure relaxation. As a member of The Leading Hotels of The World, The Gainsborough will definitely set new standards in West England!
The Gainsborough Bath is the only hotel in Great Britain that offers its guests natural thermal water. Due to its amazing location in the heart of Bath, The Gainsborough is not only blessed with amazing water quality, but also with the perfect setting for everyone who loves shopping, dining or just going out.
With just 99 rooms, The Gainsborough Bath is one of the smaller hotels in Great Britain. However, it still offers one of the most amazing Spa areas in the whole country with three therapeutic pools, several treatment rooms and much more.
Luxurious rooms at The Gainsborough Bath
The location in the heart of the city of Bath makes room at The Gainsborough Bath very limited. It is no surprise that the rooms are, while being utterly luxurious, quite small compared to other luxury hotels.
A Deluxe Room, the lowest room category, offers only 25 square meters (~ 269 square feet) to stretch out. Even though the other room categories are not much more spacious, the included amenities make staying at The Gainsborough Bath really pleasurable.
Guests may enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, Tea and Nespresso coffee making facilities, flat screen televisions, a complimentary stocked minibar, 24 hours room service and much more.
Some room categories at The Gainsborough Bath also offer unlimited access to the Bath Spa Village.
Gourmet kitchen at The Gainsborough Bath
The renowned German cook Johann Lafer not only lends his name to The Gainsborough Spa, the Michelin-awarded cook also prepares the dishes for guests of the gourmet restaurant Johann Lafer at The Gainsborough.
In a beautifully cozy and at the same time modern atmosphere, guests can enjoy “kitchen without borders” as Johann Lafer is known for mixing tastes of different, especially the European and Asian, cuisine.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Other facilities at The Gainsborough Bath include The Canvas Room, the perfect spot for socializing and enjoying Champagne Afternoon Tea.
Last but not least, the stylish The Gainsborough Bar is the perfect spot to round off the evening.
Spa experience at The Gainsborough Bath
When a full membership to a Spa area costs 3.000 Pounds (~ 4.125 Euro / 4.585 US-Dollar) a year, you get an impression of how great the Spa Village of The Gainsborough Bath must be.
The facilities do not only include a 24 hour fitness center with personal trainers, but also incredible facilities to relax and indulge. Three thermal baths with different temperatures, two saunas, a steam bath, an ice alcove, a relaxation terrace, a thermal water fountain and eleven treatment rooms in total make the facilities at The Gainsborough Spa pretty much unbeatable.
However, hotel guests not booked in one of the rooms with unlimited access may only enjoy the facilities from 7 am to 9 am in the morning and from 8 pm to 10 pm. When booking a treatment, guests are also entitled to Spa access before and after the treatment.
