BA Galleries Lounge South London Heathrow is one of three lounges at the British Airways Terminal at London Heathrow. The BA Galleries Lounge in the south of the terminal offers a consistent experience with nice seating, a good buffet and selected entertainment options. Even though it is not as good as the BA Galleries First Lounge, it is still a very decent lounge.

Everyone flying Business Class with British Airways or an oneworld carrier as well as all oneworld Sapphire members got the pleasure to enjoy either the BA Galleries Lounge South or the British Airways Galleries Lounge North at London Heathrow airport.
Depending on your gate of departure, either the one or the other is more suitable.
The BA Galleries Lounge South London Heathrow is actually located underneath the First Class Lounge, but still offers nice views of the tarmac and comfortable seating. Anyway, some parts of the lounge are a little dark.
The BA Galleries Lounge South London Heathrow is large enough with plenty of space for hundreds of passengers.
Especially in the morning and the evening, the lounge can get a little crowded anyway. Nevertheless, you’ll always find an empty spot. The designer definitely made a decent job when arranging the seating in the lounge as most of the available spots are not only comfortable, but also cozy.
There are large couches which invite for relaxation, dining areas to enjoy something from the buffet and dedicated working areas with either computers or enough plugs to make working comfortable.
Sadly, only some seating areas are located next to the large windows with great views of the tarmac. Others offer partly views of the terminal, some are located just next to a wall.
Even though British Airways still serves meals in all travel classes on all flights, passengers may enjoy a nice meal at the BA Galleries Lounge South London Heathrow prior boarding.
For dinner, there’s a spread of several different cold dishes including salad and vegetables as well as a choice of hot dishes like noodles or rice with different curries.
There is also a choice of cold cuts and cheese as well as desserts like fruits and cake. When it comes to drinks, the BA Galleries Lounge South London Heathrow offers a decent choice.
There are not only many spirits, but also dozens of different non-alcoholic drinks available.
For sure, you can also enjoy quality wine and coffee specialties in the lounge.
There is nothing in the BA Galleries Lounge South London Heathrow which is really bad. Entertainment is one of these many things which are quite impressive for a business class lounge.
There’s a huge choice of national and international newspapers available throughout the lounge. You can also find selected magazines (not many) and enjoy a very good Wi-Fi connection throughout the lounge.
Moreover, there are computers in different working areas which you may use instead your own devices.
These computers got a LAN connection which may be even faster than the Wi-Fi. Besides, there are several televisions showing news channels in English!
Overall, the BA Galleries Lounge South London Heathrow is one of the best business class lounges in Europe.
One reason is the modernity of the lounge which looks anything but run down. The design makes the lounge bright and airy as well as comfortable, while the several seating arrangements allow to enjoy the lounge for everybody wanting to work, relax or just grab a snack.
The buffet may not be comparable to lounges like the Etihad Airways Lounge in Abu Dhabi, but is actually decent for a European lounge. The only negative point about the lounge is the fact that it gets quite crowded in the morning and in the evening when the most flights depart.
Besides that, spending time in the BA Galleries Lounge South London Heathrow is very nice!
Curious what the world of lounges has to offer in comparison?
