Special: Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych

One Aldwych London Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych London was something we had to try while we were staying at the luxury hotel in the heart of London. That’s especially true as One Aldwych London is renowned for its specialty Afternoon Tea which is presented together with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Sometimes things are so special that we just have to review them. A good example is the Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych London. The hotel got a partnership with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, making it possible to offer a very special Afternoon Tea.

The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea is divided into two parts: A selection of hearty snacks and a choice of several very special sweet delights.

Savory part of the One Aldwych Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych London starts with your selection of tea (you can choose one of four special ones or any regular tea) and an optional champagne cocktail.

More important, the first food that arrives on your table are the savory snacks that come with the Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych London.

The four tasty sandwiches were creative, but yet the most boring part of the Afternoon Tea. However, that’s only the case due to the creativity with the other savory items.

Both, the heritage tomato tart and the leek and Stilton quiche were not only creative, but also heavenly tasty. Last but not least, there was a very special kind of sandwich in a bun.

Sweet part of the One Aldwych Afternoon Tea

Even though the savory choices of the One Aldwych Afternoon Tea were something very special already, the sweet part was really skyrocketing when it comes to creativity. It’s not about the scones or the cakes (both warm and tasty), but rather about the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed additional sweets which were more than just special.

The special sweet delights at One Aldwych London

While the raspberry trifle is something we enjoyed before, we never had a golden chocolate egg or candy flow for Afternoon Tea ever before. Yet, the highlight for both of us was the chocolate caramel milk in the little bottles: Not only very tasty, but also so cute looking that we couldn’t resist even though we were already full.

Bottom line One Aldwych Afternoon Tea

One Aldwych London is a great luxury hotel and it also offers a one-of-a-kind Afternoon Tea. Not only the food and the creativity were amazing, but also the service was outstanding. We were asked if we were fine at least ten times while we enjoyed the tea.

A great Afternoon Tea with a heavy price tag

More attentive service is rarely possible. Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych London costs 37.50 Pounds (~ 52 Euro / 58 US-Dollar) without signature Afternoon Tea champagne cocktail. The price tag is quite heavy, but the offerings are something utterly special, too. You should try the Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych London at least once!
