Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) is one of several Lufthansa lounges at the airport. Due to its enormous size and its hub function for Lufthansa, Frankfurt Airport offers passengers a lounge close to pretty much all departure gates. When we had the pleasure to fly via Frankfurt, we decided to give the Lufthansa Business Frankfurt (B44) a try.
Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) is located in the middle of several gates on the end of the Terminal B which is used for international departure to the US and other non-Schengen destinations. Be aware that there is another Lufthansa Business Lounge on the other side of the terminal (B24). The Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) is shaped like a circle which makes it quite comfortable for seating as the layout adds a lot of privacy. Sadly, Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) comes without any good views, making it a little boring. Nevertheless, the lounge is bright and inviting.
The Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) is not necessarily large, but it was also not very busy when we entered the lounge.
Due to that, it seems like there are enough seats for the passengers having access. There are several different seating areas with different parts for dining, relaxing and working. There are also some large bar style tables which may be good if you want to get in communication with other passengers.
As already mentioned, there’s no view, but the lounge is bright due to large windows nevertheless. Definitely a place where you spend your time in comfort. That’s especially true as most of the seating in the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) is quite modern and the décor is tasteful.
It’s worth noting that the buffet at the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) is a little smaller than the one offered in the Lufthansa Senator Lounge Frankfurt (B44) which we’ll we review later.
Nevertheless, we were positively surprised by the offerings which were available for breakfast. We found a nice selection of rolls and pretzels as several different cheeses, jams and cold cuts. There were also several different vegetables, fruits, packaged yoghurts and a selection of muesli with milk on the buffet.
When it comes to drinks, the choice is between juices, soft drinks as well as alcoholic beverages of all kinds which are available even in the morning. There’s also a coffee machine which actually makes decent coffee, cappuccino and other similar drinks.
We didn’t spend much time in the lounge, but as there were enough entertainment options, I’m sure we wouldn’t have felt bored if we stayed longer.
The strength of all Lufthansa lounges, the nice selection of newspapers and magazines in German, English and several other languages, was available in the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44), too.
If you are not in the mood for reading, there are also several flat-screen televisions showing news channels.
In one area of the lounge, there’s also a working area with computers and printers which you may use during spending time in the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44).
Overall, we were surprised how decent the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) was, given that there are actually three types of “better” Lufthansa lounges at Frankfurt Airport (First Class Terminal, First Class Lounges and Senator Lounges). The buffet was absolutely sufficient for a good breakfast and both availability and quality were good.
Seating was modern and the lounge was bright enough to make you feel good when spending time in it. Entertainment was as good as in all other Lufthansa lounges and the attendants were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely return to the Lufthansa Business Lounge Frankfurt (B44) as the only thing I was really missing was a nice view of the tarmac!
Curious what the world of lounges has to offer in comparison?
