The Jet Airways long haul Business Class is a rather difficult product to review as there are three different configurations besides the airline just having a few long haul airplanes. When booking my Jet Airways Business Class flight, I decided I’d have to fly an Airbus A330-200 to try the “best” product available. While expecting a lot, I was not any disappointed after my flight with Jet!
Check out our rating of Jet Airways (long haul Business)!
While the airline market in India is constantly evolving, there are currently just two airlines flying from India to Europe.
As Air India does not have a very good reputation, I decided to give Jet Airways a try instead. Flying from Paris to Mumbai, I had the pleasure to fly the Jet Airways long haul Business on an Airbus A330-200.
The seats in Jet Airways’ Première Class are in a 1-1-1 configuration
That’s especially important to note as the Airbus A330-200 comes with the so-called Première Class in a 1-1-1 configuration and though feels a little bit like First Class!
The Jet Airways Airbus A330-200 allows you to enjoy a rather spacious seat. Depending on whether you are seating on the aisle with two seats or one seat, your seat is either very private or a little exposed.
The seats have a warm and comfortable color
That’s due to the herringbone configuration, which is a little outdated. The seats themselves are quite wide and though perfect for pretty much all passengers. The color scheme is relatively classic, but fits to the Indian identity of Jet Airways.
What I found a little bit lackluster in the Jet Airways long haul Business Class is the storage room as there is only some space below the ottoman and some more right next to your seat. This makes it tough to even store a laptop and a bottle of water.
The seat pitch is fine for a long haul Business Class product
The finishes of the Jet Airways Business Class seat in the Airbus A330-200 are well executed with a reading light with four levels, a spacious table and also a hanger for cloths.
As the Jet Airways long haul Business on the Airbus A330-200 is more like a mixture of First and Business Class, there’s a bedding service.
There is a bed making service in the Jet Airways Première Class
While I enjoyed an amazing bed in the Etihad Airways First Class (on a Jet Airways configured Boeing 777), I have to admit that the bedding in the Jet Airways long haul Business was rather disappointing.
The pillow is one of the better I had in Business Class
What you get is a thin mattress, which is more or less just laid on your seat. The blanket and the pillow are okay, but at the same time nothing to write home about.
The comfortable pyjama is a very nice touch
Even though the seat in the Jet Airways long haul Business Class evolves into a fully flat bed, I found the sleeping comfort to be a little lackluster due to the lack of privacy and the fact that you were nearly “falling out” of the bed on the side of the pillow.
Prior departure, Jet Airways offers non-alcoholic beverages. I opted for orange juice, which was quite good.

After take-off, I was served my ordered Champagne, which was okay, alongside with some nuts. After finishing half of my nuts, I was instantly asked whether I want more – such a nice touch!

The menu in the Jet Airways long haul Business had many Indian dishes, which I adored as I was already looking forward to dining in India!
While I skipped the starter, Sabrina had the soup, which she said was great.
Wild Mushroom Soup
For main, we both opted for the Kori Gassi, which was served with a side of rice, vegetables, Indian bread as well as two options I couldn’t really identify.

The main as well as the garlic bread, which was one of the options in the bread basket, were very tasty. For dessert, I went for the Indian choice with the complicated name “Kesari Rasmalai”, which was some kind of sweet cottage cheese served alongside with some fresh fruits.
The main was very tasty and was served very quick after departure
Once again, I could have hardly been any happier about my choice! During the whole dinner, the service was extremely quick, efficient and warm at the same time. Dinner was finished 70 minutes after take-off, which is quite impressive. As our Jet Airways Business Class flight was only approximately eight hours long, the crew asked whether I’d wishes to have breakfast or rather sleep.

I went for the breakfast option and was served a continental selection approximately 90 minutes prior landing.
Breakfast smoothie (which was amazing!)
Some fresh fruits, yoghurt and a pastry from a rich selection out of the basket is everything I need to start into the day.
The danish I went for was very tasty
Especially on short flights, I’m actually happy that there is no hot option for breakfast. Once again, the service during breakfast was outstanding.
The Jet Airways long haul Business Class seats come with a medium-sized television with an average quality. Looking at the screen, you’ll recognize that it’s definitely not the newest product on the market.
The entertainment screen is on the small side for modern Business Class products
I also find the selection to be a little lackluster for Western guests. While there are dozens of Bollywood films and also some other non-Hollywood options, I was actually surprised to only find a couple dozens of Hollywood films, which I’ve already seen most of.
There were also some shows and a selection of music, but while the quantity looked fine at first sight, there were just three series of most shows available. As the flight was rather short, I just went with three series of The Big Bang Theory and called it a day.
Newspapers are offered prior to departure
Nevertheless, I actually found the entertainment in the Jet Airways long haul Business to be a little underwhelming, especially as there is no Wi-Fi.
Something that makes you feel a little bit like flying First Class when taking a flight in the Jet Airways Premiere Class is the fact that you are offered a wide range of amenities.
The noise-cancelling headphonse were better than they looked
These not only include an amenity kit, but also noise-cancelling headphones and a very comfortable pyjama which is a rare offering in Business Class. The noise-cancelling headphones were okay, while the amenity kit was a little underwhelming. Some kind of comb, a toothbrush with toothpaste, socks, body lotion and lip balm was everything to be found in the amenity kit in the Jet Airways Business Class.
The amenity kit in the Jet Airways Première Class was a little disappointing
However, the products branded by Chlopard were actually of the highest quality.
I have to admit that I was heavily impressed by Jet Airways’ long haul Business Class on the Airbus A330-200. The seat feels a little bit like a private seating, but lacks some privacy when being seated in the aisle with one seat on each side. Moreover, sleeping is a little challenging even though there is a bedding service, which is rare for Business Class. While the seats may not be top of the game, they are actually quite good for Business Class!
The lavatories in Busines Class come with some nice amenities
Sadly, the entertainment is just average. What I was really impressed with was the soft product in the Jet Airways Business Class as the staff was extremely friendly and warm during the whole flight. Moreover, the food was truly amazing. Additional amenities like the pyjama offered additional comfort during the flight. Overall, I’d definitely fly the Jet Airways long haul Business Class again.

One of those airlines that I would definitely try! Thanks for the review
My pleasure! Jet is really one of the better islands flying to India!

Can we take the kit (pyajamas/headphones and all) with us back home?
Also what is the size of lavatory? Shower faciliy available there? and what will be the best seat according to you ?
Actually I am flying Mumbai-Paris soon, so I want to know
Hey´Ravi, you are allowed to take all laundry (pyjama, slippers) as well as the amenity kit with you. The headphones are not to be taken away.
The lavatories are average size and there are no shower facilities (actually, those are only available on selected airlines in the A380 First Class). Yet, there are shower facilities in the GVK Lounge in Mumbai!
When it comes to the seat selection, I’d recommend taking one of the window seats, maybe to the back of the cabin. Yet, most seats are quite similiar.
Hope this is helpful! 🙂
