JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity is one of the newest luxury hotels in India’s capital. Located in the Aerocity, which hosts many airport hotels, the hotel is just a quick ride away from both, the international and the domestic airport. The ultra-modern rooms and the facilities of the hotel including an outdoor pool and a very nice lounge make JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity one of the properties you should definitely consider for staying in Delhi!
When it comes to hotel reviews I really like to write about hotels I had a very good time staying at.
JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity is one of those properties. After booking last minute and arriving two or three hours after midnight, the hotel was a true relief after a horrible day.
JW Marriott Delhi is just a short hop away from the airport, but also well connected to the city center by metro. Other than that, the so-called Aerocity is rather boring, so it’s basically about the hotel.
Yet, that’s not a problem as JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity offers stunning facilities!
Due to being a Marriott Gold Member, I was assigned an Executive Room at JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity.
This one is basically a standard room on a higher floor, which might not sound amazing at first. Yet, upon entering the room you’ll definitely feel in heaven as the Executive Rooms at JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity are among the nicest rooms I’ve ever encountered in a luxury hotel.
Upon entering, there’s the wardrobe to the right and the large bathroom to the left. Following you come into the main room, which is extremely spacious for a basic category and comes with an ultra-large bed, two bedside tables, a big working desk with a proper office chair, a daybed with a table, a minibar construction with coffee and tea making facilities as well as a large flat-screen television.
Not only is there a lot of furniture in the large Executive Room at JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity, it’s also extremely modern, of the highest quality and generally very well designed. Our room also had floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the pool.
Something especially worth mentioning in a review about an airport hotel is the fact that the rooms at JW Marriott Delhi were extremely quiet!
The next highlight at JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity definitely was the bathroom of the Executive Room, which is not extremely spacious, but once again very well designed.
Upon entering there is the toilet with a privacy blind to the left, the sink with dozens of amenities (the toiletries are by Aromatherapy) opposite of the door and the wet area including a large tub and a spacious rain shower.
The whole bathroom comes with a beautiful modern marble design and also has a window to the room, making the bathroom quite bright during the day.
JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity comes with a spacious Executive Lounge, which you might access by either booking a suite, an Executive Room or holding Marriott Gold or Platinum Status.
The lounge is located on one of the lower floors and comes with lots of different seating for dining, working and lounging. There is also a lot of entertainment including newspapers, magazines and televisions.
Something I especially liked about the Executive Lounge at JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity is the huge terrace with several tables and garden chairs (however, the Wi-Fi was really weak on the terrace).
As we didn’t spend too much time in the lounge, I only had the chance to check out the buffet area for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the very friendly service and the on-order option.
The choice at the buffet itself was average, but the quality of the items was very high.
In the morning, I went to the lounge to check it out and also have a little breakfast. Yet, I decided to also check out the main breakfast in the restaurant.
While not hungry, I took some pictures of the truly amazing breakfast buffet. There are not many hotels in the world, which offer such a selection of hot items as JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity. There were literally dozens of different hot dishes for Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Western guests.
Moreover, there was also a good continental selection and also the option to order something.
What I found a little strange though was the fact that I was charged for some mineral water (which is not included in the price of the buffet as I was told after), which I ordered as I didn’t want to eat or drink something, but didn’t want to be in the awkward situation of just taking pictures.
JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity comes with extensive facilities, which can be used by the guests of the hotel free of charge.
These include a large and very nicely decorated outdoor pool, several loungers with service and a spacious and extremely well and modernly equipment gym with views of the pool.
There is also a relaxation area in the inside area, where you can find a hot tub, sauna and steam bath in both, the men’s and women’s changing rooms.
Especially taking into account that JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity is an airport hotel, I found the relaxation and sports facilities to be amazing.
You may also opt for a Spa treatment, which comes with an extra charge.
While we only spent approximately twelve hours at JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity, I was heavily impressed by the great hotel. Upon entering and with every step you take you’ll recognize that the hotel is not only very new, but also extremely well decorated. It’s not often that I rave about the design of a property in a hotel review, but I actually liked everything about the hard product of JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity.
The service was okay, but not extremely impressive though. The few food items I tried were of the highest quality and the choice at breakfast in the restaurant was more than just good. So if you are looking for an airport hotel in Delhi and don’t have a problem with spending a little more, JW Marriott Delhi Aerocity is the obvious choice for a great stay!
