Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok is one of the most modern hotels in Bangkok. The property is located just a few steps away from a BTS station and is absolutely modern in all regards. While we enjoyed our stay, we did feel like the hotel was a little cold overall. The design is so modern that it lacks coziness and the staff does not really give a warm feeling either.
Arriving at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok it took just seconds until we were accompanied to the club lounge. As a Hilton Diamond member, I was told that check-in is always proceeded in the club lounge.
The whole process was quite sleek and the staff was very helpful. We were also offered a drink, but as the English skills of the staff were streaky, we did get the wrong one.
Nevertheless, the process was fine overall and we were shown to our room just 15 minutes after arriving at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok.
We were upgraded to an Executive Plus Room, which is a little larger than a normal Executive Room.
The room looked a little more like a suite than a normal room as it was separated into two areas.
Upon entering, we found ourselves in the living room. To the right was a large desk with some information about the hotel on it.
Further to the end of the room was a large couch and also an armchair and a table, all facing a large flat screen television.
Next to the living room was the bedroom with the typical Hilton King Bed, an armchair next to a small table and two bedside tables. Again, there was a large flat screen television.
Both rooms came with floor-to-ceiling windows, which made the Executive Plus Room at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok very bright.
We were surprised to see such a modern and sleek design at a Hilton property when checking out our room at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok.
Yet, the bathroom was even more of a highlight than the Executive Plus Room itself. Not only was the bathroom extremely modern and stylish looking, but also came with a detached toilet.
Moreover, there was an extremely spacious walk-in shower and also a deep soaking tub.
The only downside of the bathroom was the single sink, but we were extremely positively surprised about the Executive Plus Room at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok anyway!
It’s quite an amazing thing if the pool and the gym are located on the highest floor of a hotel.
At Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit, this isn’t as cool as for example at Conrad Bangkok as the hotel is just not that high, but the views and the feeling on the rooftop are very nice nevertheless.
The gym, while not equipped with many machines, is very modern and offers a decent view of the pool and the city. The rooftop pool itself comes with a decent size and a good temperature.
There are also several different stylish loungers around the pool at Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit.
Even though I personally didn’t feel well during our stay and thus decided to not spend much time at the Executive Lounge, but the area looked quite nice anyway.
The seating was very modern and comfortable and there are also some conference rooms, but the area somewhat lacks coziness.
When it comes to the dining options, there is not only an evening spread, but also a little Afternoon Tea selection.
Sabrina checked both out and found the offerings to be quite decent, both in terms of choice and quality.
Sadly, the lounge at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok is located on one of the lower floors and though doesn’t really offer nice views.
We also opted for breakfast at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok and while I’m usually not very positively surprised about breakfast in an Executive Lounge, the offers at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok were decent.
There is even a station where egg dishes are freshly prepared. The spread of cold and hot items on the buffet is quite large and the choice of different fruit juices was really cool.
Nevertheless, it seems a little bit like Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok mainly aims on Asian guests as the breakfast buffet heavily focused on hot dishes, which I personally rather have for lunch or dinner than for breakfast.
The hard product at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok could hardly be more amazing. The Executive Plus Room is spacious and comes with extremely modern and stylish interior. The rooftop pool is a very nice touch and extremely enjoyable as well.
The Executive Lounge is better than in most Hilton properties as well. That said, I can just highly recommend Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok. Nevertheless, I prefer Conrad Bangkok as the hotel just comes with a warmer atmosphere and somewhat cozier rooms as well as a better service. Yet, you just can’t go wrong booking a room at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok.
