Caesar Park Hotel Rio de Janeiro is one of a few luxury hotels located right at Ipanema Beach. The property managed by Sofitel left a good impression on me. Learn more about the luxury hotel in our extensive review!
After staying at the amazing Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro, I switched to the Caesar Park Hotel Rio de Janeiro, which is managed by Sofitel and thus comes with the typical benefits for Le Club Accor Gold members including welcome drinks and an upgrade.
The property is fairly cheaper than the Fasano and other hotels on the strip, but also quite a walk to the Copacabana. Yet, Caesar Park Hotel Rio de Janeiro is located right opposite Ipanema Beach and just a few steps away from the lively neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro.
After a quick check-in, I was given keys for a Luxury Room on one of the highest floors of the property.
While the upgraded room didn’t feature direct sea view, it still was a nice corner room with side views of the ocean. It’s worth noting that the view of the city isn’t bad either as you are able to spot the Cristo statue. Enough about the view.
The Luxury Room as such is relatively spacious with approximately 40 square meters and comes with a very comfortable King Bed. In-between the two large windows, there’s a working desk with a comfortable (yet not ergonomic) chair as well as a flat-screen television.
Other than that, there are two bedside tables, a wardrobe as well as a minibar. While I generally liked the fresh and clear design at Caesar Park Hotel Rio de Janeiro, the condition of the room wasn’t that good. Anyways, I found the Luxury Room to be very comfortable overall.
The Deluxe Room at Caesar Park Hotel comes with a spacious bathroom. While retail prices in Rio de Janeiro are extremely high, you still get quite some space for your money at Caesar Park Hotel.
Besides the single sink, there are a bathtub and a separate shower with rain shower head (average water pressure) as well as a toilet and bidet. I found the marble design a little strange and little too heavy compared to the room design.
Plus, the bathroom wasn’t exactly in a great condition either. The toiletries provided by L’Occitane are worth a special mention as those are really high quality.
I absolutely fell in love with the rooftop pool of Hotel Fasano. Yet, the one at Caesar Park Hotel Rio de Janeiro is far from bad either.
Even though relatively small, the view is even a bit better due to the building being just a lot higher. The pool is not only surrounded by a couple of loungers, but also tables with chairs, which are used as a bar / nightclub sort-of in the evening.
I’ve also enjoyed the (good) welcome drinks at this location as it is everything but a bad place to spend your evening.
The gym is even one floor higher and offers one of the most spectacular views I’ve ever enjoyed in a gym. The machines are plentiful for both, strength and cardio trainings. Meanwhile, many machines are not exactly state-of-the-art anymore.
There’s also a sauna, which you can use complimentary. Yet, this one is also on the rather old side.
While I was out in the city on the evening, I had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Caesar Park Hotel Rio de Janeiro. The breakfast usually comes with a rather steep price tag if not included in your rate, but also is of good quality.
Not only the restaurant as such is nice, the whole set-up makes you feel like you are having breakfast at a luxury hotel. There’s a very good choice consisting of all sorts of fruits, fruit juices, breads, pastries, yoghurts, cold cuts, cheeses and a couple of hot options.
Hot drinks of your choice are served by the table. You may also order a couple of hot options, which are freshly prepared. I’ve tried two Brazilian specialties, which both were great!
Sure, the Caesar Park Hotel Rio de Janeiro doesn’t come with the design and ultra-exclusive vibe of the Fasano. But if you are looking for a nice luxury hotel with good breakfast, an amazing pool and a great gym, you can’t go wrong with the Caesar Park. Also keep in mind that breakfast at the property is very good, making it a better option to book a rate including breakfast. You definitely won’t regret booking a room at Caesar Park Hotel Rio de Janeiro as the property is very well managed by Sofitel!
