Cornwall: Tintagle Castle

Tintagle Castle is known from movies and plays a special role in history. It is supposed to be a place, where King Arthur was present. However, nowadays the site is a little disappointing. While the landscape is fascinating, the runis themselves are rather boring. Taking into account the admission fee, I’m not really sure whether a visit is worth it.

    • Still holding mine, I can tell you that it’s not worth a lot here. Actually, the discount is 0.7 GBP, which is something, but not a lot πŸ˜‰ I didn’t feel that the ISIC has a lot of value in Cornwall, sadly.

  1. It’s so sad to see such a beautiful place full of mysteries like that.. I’ve always wanted to visit it someday as I am a big fan of the Arthurian Legend. I hope they will do something to make it better !

    • Well, it’s not too bad of a place to visit, but it is very crowded (in Summer) and there’s actually not too much left. However, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the landscape and the mystery if you are visiting in a less touristy season πŸ™‚
