The Hilton Frankfurt Airport is located very close to the major German airport and is connected to the terminal by a walkway. In this review, we’ll get you an idea of what to expect of a stay at the property.
Frankfurt Airport is the most important airport in Germany. Thus, there are several airport hotels nearby. Within walking distance, there are three hotels: The Hilton Garden Inn, the Sheraton and the Hilton Frankfurt Airport. As a Hilton Diamond member, I chose the later for an overnight stay prior to an early departure to London.
All in all, the hotel didn’t disappoint as you’ll see in this review.
Due to my status at Hilton Honors, I got a great upgrade to an Executive Suite. Those suites are located in the corners (the building doesn’t actually have real corners as it is round-shaped) of each floor and come with two seperated rooms.
Living Room of the Hilton Frankfurt Airport
Upon entering, you’ll see a guest bathroom to the right and the living room upfront. The bedroom can also be reached from the entrance by turning left and walking through a small wardrobe.
Bedroom of the Executive Suite
The living room of the Executive Suite at the Hilton Frankfurt Airport is spacious and comes with a couch, a few chairs, a coffee table as well as a working desk with a decent office chair.
There’s also a Nespresso machine right above the minibar. The bedroom is surprisingly big as well, but looks a little empty as there is just one chair with an ottoman, the King Bed with two night stands and a television opposite of the bed.
Generally, I found the design of the suite to be very nice. Everything spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. Best of all, the rooms at the Hilton Frankfurt Airport are perfectly quiet despite being next to the airport and a large highway.
As I’ve mentioned earlier, the Executive Suite comes with a guest bathroom and a master bathroom, with the latter being directly connected to the bedroom only.
Guest Bathroom of the Hilton Frankfurt Airport
The guest bathroom comes with just a toilet and a sink, while the master bathroom additionally offers a bathtub and a walk-in shower. I found the shower pressure to be quite good and the towels to be soft.
The toiletries provided are by Peter Thomas Roth as it’s norm for Hilton. As everything was clean here again, there’s nothing negative to say.
The Hilton Frankfurt Airport offers an Executive Lounge, which sadly is indoor facing and thus doesn’t come with any daylight. Besides that, the space is quite nice and modern.
There are a couple of different areas for relaxing, eating or working. The buffet is quite big as well. Sadly, I only had the chance to check out the evening selection, which is decent, but not more than that.
There are a couple of cold snacks, sandwiches, salads and some convenience hot food like spring rolls. Additionally, there are all kinds of drinks from spirits to beer to wine to soft drinks.
Alcoholic Drinks in the Executive Lounge
Nothing spectacular, but got for what it is.
As I had a really early departure, I didn’t have the chance to either check out the breakfast spread in the lounge or the restaurant.
Breakfast Box at the Hilton Frankfurt Airport
However, I was offered a breakfast box, which had a muffin, an apple, a milk drink and a tuna sandwich (odd choice for breakfast). Decent enough.
On the top floor, the Hilton Frankfurt Airport also offers a gym with some limited views of the airport. There are a couple of treadmills, bikes, strength machines and free weights.
I found the gym to be a little stuffy, but other than that, it is all right with modern equipment, towels and water available. Next to the gym, there is also a sauna, which you can use free of charge.
Despite my stay at the Hilton Frankfurt Airpot being quite short, I enjoyed the property very much. Less than five minutes from the train station and less than ten minutes to the airport is just a location, which is hard to beat. Additonally, the rooms are modern and spacious, the staff is friendly and the other facilities are on a high level as well. If you are having an overnight stay at Frankfurt Airport, I can fully recommend staying at the Hilton.

I stayed there a couple of times – to my birthday they upgraded me to the presidential suite, what was absolutely awesome!
The breakfast is pretty ok, nothing very special but you get everything you need (although I’m fine with just black coffee 😉 )
What I always really liked was the bar – you get good drinks and the service was always very friendly
Thanks for your post. It’s great to see that other travellers have a same impression of the hotel. It’s definitely the best option at FRA Airport!
