The Hilton Istanbul Bomonti is one of the newer luxury hotels in Istanbul and offers an incredible value for the money. Read in this review, why staying at the Hilton Bomonti is well worth it!
Istanbul has an incredible amount of amazing hotel options. Due to the political problems of the last months and years, prices have dropped enormously.
That said, most hotel options in Istanbul offer an incredible value these days. However, the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti is even cheaper than most other five star options, while offering amazing comfort. The biggest downside of the property definitely is the location a little outside the most interesting areas of Istanbul.
After a brief check-in and an amazing upgrade from a Standard Room to an Executive Suite, I was on my way to my room in the 30th floor after just a few minutes. The Executive Suite comes with two rooms plus two bathrooms. The first of the two main rooms is the living room, which comes with a spacious couch, some armchairs, a coffee table as well as a flat-screen television and some wardrobes.
There’s also a decent working desk as well as another desk with two chairs by the window. The bedroom is approximately the same size and feels very spacious with just a very large bed, two nightstands and a comfortable daybed with ottoman.
There’s another flat-screen television, too. Between the bedroom and the master bathroom, you can also find a small dressing room with two spacious wardrobes.
Both rooms come with floor-to-ceiling-windows, offering amazing views of the city. Due to the incredible height of the hotel, you can basically see all of Istanbul. Amazing!
Last but not least, it’s worth noting that the hotel feels brand new and offers very high quality furnishings, which reminded me more of a Conrad than of a Hilton.
The Executive Suite at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti comes with two bathrooms. There’s one smaller one right next to the entrance and another next to the bedroom. The small bathroom comes with a toilet and a sink.
The master bathroom is even more spacious and feels more luxurious, too.
There are double-sinks, a beautiful soaking tub and a toilet as well as a very spacious walk-in shower, both partitioned off.
In addition to the very nice design, everything was spotlessly clean. What an amazing room.
Another highlight of the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti is the Executive Lounge, which is located on the top-floor. It’s incredibly big and offers several different areas with comfortable seating arrangements, working desks, dining tables and much more.
The design is beautiful, the floor-to-ceiling windows make the whole place feel very airy and the view is just incredible.
The food offerings at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti are three-fold. There’s a decent breakfast spread in the morning, where you can basically find everything you’ll look for at a normal hotel breakfast, too. Hot options may be ordered from the kitchen additionally.
In the afternoon, there’s a nice selection of cakes and other sweet options. While it’s no proper afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones, etc., the selection is great to grab a snack.
Luckily, the Hilton Bomonti doesn’t disappoint in the evening as you can enjoy a very nice selection of cold and hot snacks. While I wouldn’t call it a proper dinner, there are several very tasty snacking items, a salad buffet and even a few hot dishes, which can easily fill you.
If you are into alcohol, there’s a decent selection of wines, beers and spirits, too. All in all, one of the best Executive Lounges at any Hilton property I’ve been to, yet.
As a Hilton Honors Diamond Member, I was invited to either have breakfast in the lounge or in the restaurant. The restaurant has a truly incredible selection of everything you may dream off.
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but there are dozens of hot and cold options, from Turkish delights, to continental classics, to American options to Asian food and and and.
However, I didn’t like the atmosphere at breakfast at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti as it felt like a zoo with hundreds of people and enormous distances. Even though the offerings are better than in the lounge, I’d still prefer the latter for breakfast as it’s way more calm and enjoyable.
One day, I also had a small lunch via room service. The ordered Caesar Salad was good, but nothing to write home about.
It’s also worth noting that the prices for food at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti are quite high compared to the room rates.
As if the room and Executive Lounge at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti wouldn’t be amazing enough, there’s also an incredible relaxation area. The gym is very spacious and comes with two different areas, one for cardio and one for strength training. There are dozens of machines as well as free weights. Towels and water are offered on a complimentary basis, too.
In addition to the gym, there’s a spacious indoor relaxation area, consisting of a large lap pool, a jacuzzi and several comfortable loungers. Moreover, you can find a steam bath, a sauna and a hammam if you are looking for even more recreation options.
There’s also an outdoor area, which is more interesting in summer times. You can find another swimming pool with lots of loungers here.
Truly incredible offerings for a city hotel.
It might sound like a joke, but there are days, where you can book the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti for a mere 50 euro a night. For that, this hotel is truly incredible. The rooms and suites are modern, spacious and extremely comfortable. The views and bathrooms are incredible, too. The Executive Lounge is out of this world and the gym and pool areas are very nice for a city hotel, too. Leaving aside the rather meh location, there’s hardly anything negative to find about this hotel.
