The Park Hotel Grenoble is part of the MGallery Collection by Sofitel. In my opinion, the hotel is a real gem and offers great value for the money. Read why in our extensive hotel review!
I’ve stayed at a couple of different MGallery Hotels in France in the last couple of months, but the Park Hotel Grenoble is one of the hotels I kept in my memory especially positively. That’s interesting as the exterior of the hotel isn’t any charming.
Nevertheless, from the charming lobby to the very nice staff and the nicely appointed rooms, everything about this hotel is very nice. Only the location isn’t perfect, in my opinion.
Thanks to my Le Club Accor Gold Status, I was upgraded to a Superior Room at the Park Hotel Grenoble. This room category is surprisingly spacious for a city hotel. Upon entering, there is a small dressing area with a wardrobe.
Then there’s the main room, which comes with a comfortable bed with two nightstands.
Opposite of that, you’ll find a working desk with a rather uncomfortable chair as well as a wall-mounted television.
There’s also a large chest, which is where you can find the coffee machine.
In between, there is another rather random desk with another chair. The design of the room is both, modern and cozy, making up for a great atmosphere in a city that isn’t exactly blessed with a lot of sunshine.
Next to the bed, there’s a door to the bathroom, which is surprisingly spacious for a four-star property.
There’s a single sink with some storage, a large deep-soaking tub, a walk-in shower with two shower heads and a toilet, which is an extra room with a door.
The room was spotlessly clean during our stay, making up for a great experience. While the views aren’t any special, the room at least feel airy and bright during the day. That combined with the modern and cozy design makes the rooms at the Park Hotel Grenoble especially comfortable.
We didn’t have breakfast when staying at the Park Hotel Grenoble, but I opted for room service on one evening to test the food quality.
I had a nice pasta dish, which was somewhat rich on sauce, but tasty besides that. The quality was surprisingly good for the price (around 10 Euro).
We also had a welcome drink with some crisps in the hotel’s bar.
The service here was friendly and nice.
While the facilities of the Park Hotel Grenoble are somewhat limited, there is at least a small gym. It only has three machines and isn’t particularly great, but it does the trick for a small workout.
There are also a steam bath (ask reception to heat it up when you are thinking about using it) and a sensory shower in this area, but I wouldn’t particularly call this a “Spa”.
My stay at the Park Hotel Grenoble was very enjoyable. The hotel often offers prices of less than 100 Euro and for that, it’s a great experience. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and come with a very cozy design. Everything is modern and the bathrooms are nice. The small gym and “spa” aren’t especially great, but do the trick. All that combined with friendly staff makes me recommend this property very much. I’m not sure whether there’s a better option in this price range in Grenoble!
