The DoubleTree Warsaw Convention Centre might be located far away from the actual city, but it offers an amazing value for the money. In this review, we’ll explain what you can expect from staying here!
While I think that the DoubleTree definitely shouldn’t be your first choice if you have business to attend in Warsaw itself, I’d recommend checking it out if you are looking for a retreat not far away from the city or the airport.
If you are instead looking for a city hotel, I can recommend staying at the Hilton Warsaw or the InterContinental Warsaw, both are a good choice in my opinion.
Thanks to my Hilton Honors Diamond Status, I was assigned an upgraded Executive Room at check-in. These rooms aren’t more spacious, but are located on the highest floor and have a cute extra roof window, which makes the rooms way brighter.
The room itself made a good impression on me. While not particularly spacious, there was a comfortable Queen Bed, two nightstands and an armchair with a table on one side of the room.
The other side had a flat-screen television as well as a decent working desk with a proper office chair. The whole design of the room is modern and feels atmospheric thanks to the usage of warm colors.
The views of the greenery around were nice, too. The bathroom ticked all the boxes, too. It had a bathtub, a sink, a toilet and a walk-in shower with a proper rain shower head. The water pressure was good, too.
All in all, I’d say that the DoubleTree Warsaw Convention Centre offers very nice modern rooms, which are perfect for a business stay or a weekend away.
If there’s an area, where the DoubleTree Warsaw really shines, it is the Executive Lounge. Located on the highest floor, it’s a nice space with one big room with lots of dining tables with two chairs each and a second room with more relaxed seating and a television.
Then there’s also a very nice terrace with some more seating.
What’s really amazing about the lounge though are the food offerings. Breakfast has everything and more you’d expect in an Executive Lounge. There were all kinds of cheeses, cold cuts, bread rolls, pastries, fresh fruits, veggies etc.
Then, there was a great selection of hot options available, too. The highlight might have been the local specialties though.
All items I tried were really good and tasted very fresh. Speaking of a lounge breakfast, this might have been the best I ever had, even beating real luxury hotels like the Conrad Manila or the Conrad Bali. The Afternoon Tea looked a little sad in comparison as it just had some sweet options as well as nuts and some more snacks.
Dinner was much better again with a selection of three hot dishes, all local specialties, which looked and tasted freshly cooked. Additionally, there were some salads and other cold options.
There was a selection of alcoholic beverages of mediocre quality, too.
It might not have been the most extensive selection I’ve ever seen, but again, everything tasted really good. I would really say that the lounge at the DoubleTree Warsaw is one of the best I’ve ever been. Only service didn’t mirror that as there was hardly anyone around and if, they weren’t particularly friendly and even took away all the food five minutes before the official closing time of the buffet, which I though was quite odd.
Earlier I’ve mentioned that I think that the hotel might be a great choice for a weekend away. Why am I saying that about a conference hotel? Well, it’s because of the fascinating recreation area. First of all, there’s a massive indoor pool, which is great for laps.
Then there are tons of loungers around as well as a great outdoor area, which had several different types of comfortable loungers when I visited. The pool area also comes with a sauna.
If you are a Hilton elite member, you may also use an additional area, which has a sauna, a steam bath and a wet area with several massage functions. This area is also much calmer.
The gym of the DoubleTree Warsaw Convention Centre is great, too. When I visited it was not only completely empty, but it also has all the equipment you need for a workout. It’s a spacious and bright place with modern machines and everything for cardio and strength training.
All in all, the recreation facilities of this DoubleTree are really great. Plus, you can go for nice walks, hikes, runs and bike rides in the forests next to the hotel.
We had a great stay at the DoubleTree Warsaw Convention Centre and would highly recommend the hotel, especially as rates often are around 50 Euro per night. The rooms are modern and comfortable, the pool & gym are amazing for a DoubleTree and the Executive Lounge offers a brilliant breakfast and nice evening reception. Personally, I can’t wait to return!
