The Hotel Cour de Corbeau Strasbourg is an individually designed luxury hotel, located in various historic buildings in the city center. In this extensive review, we’ll explain what you can expect of staying in the property belonging to the MGallery Collection by Accor.
In the last couple of years, a few new luxury hotels in Strasbourg have opened their doors. One of those is the boutique hotel with the name Hotel Cour de Corbeau Strasbourg, which is the second upscale Accor property in the city after the more business orientated Sofitel Strasbourg.
The Hotel Cour de Corbeau is located South of the city center, right below the river Ill on Place du Corbeau. In my opinion, this is a really great location if you are in town for sightseeing as the historic city center is only a stone throw away and La Petite France is also walkable from here.
Due to my Le Club Accor Gold status, I was given an upgrade to a Deluxe Room, which comes with a very special location “above” the inner courtyard.
The property consists of different historic houses, connected by little bridges, all around an inner courtyard. The room I was assigned was on one of the bridges and thus had a particular charm.
While the hotel definitely has old “bones”, the interiors are modern and feel fresh, even though the designer tried to keep the historic style in a way.
Even though not the lowest room category, the Deluxe Room still felt small with the bed using most of the space in the room. It comes with two nightstands and is quite comfortable though.
As you can see, the room doesn’t come with all that much more furniture than the bed.
Opposite of bed, there’s a small table as well as a chair.
Furthermore, in the corner of the room, a medium-sized desk alongside another chair can be found. It’s worth a positive mention that most rooms at the Hotel Cour de Corbeau Strasbourg offer a coffee machine with complimentary pods.
While the room didn’t have anything else to offer, I thought that the room of the historic inner courtyard through the large window was lovely.
The bathroom also left a mark on me as it had a stylish dark design scheme and surprisingly much space to roam around compared to the room.
While the shower is part of the bathtub, the construction is quite smart and the shower pressure is decent.
The double sink offers quite a bit of space, while the toilet with a door is a nice touch for added privacy when travelling with another person.
Overall, I’d consider the rooms at the MGallery Hotel in Strasbourg to be very nice even though the design scheme might not be totally for me. What I particularly like is that the old structure of the building was used in a way so that basically all rooms are different.
While my stay at the Hotel Cour de Corbeau Strasbourg was rather brief, I at least had the chance to check out the charming bar of the hotel.
Not only does if have flair, but the service was also very friendly.
It’s deifnitely a nice place to enjoy a drink or a coffee. Little snacks are also on offer.
My stay at the Hotel Cour du Corbeau was enjoyable. The property is a great base for exploring Strasbourg as a tourist, particularly as it already has tons of charm itself. All the staff I interacted with was charming, the location is great and the design is unique and modern. All of this makes me recommend staying here, in case you are looking for a charming boutique hotel.
